Mike Donovan has been a Staff Attorney with Legal Services of North Florida, Inc. since 2003.  From 2003 into 2019, he handled domestic violence injunctions, child dependency cases, child support, child custody disputes and appeals, foreclosures, and occasional landlord-tenant cases.  Before coming to LSNF, Mr. Donovan worked as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Tallahassee, and with the City of Tallahassee Economic Development Department, promoting economic development initiatives for the City; and was a Senior Planner with the Apalachee Regional Planning Council and the Florida Department of Community Affairs.


Mr. Donovan has argued before the Florida First District Court of Appeal and the Florida Supreme Court.  He is certified in the U.S. Federal Court Northern District of Florida, has completed Guardianship training, and previously received Veteran’s Administration Accreditation.


Mr. Donovan graduated from the Florida State University College of Law and the University of Notre Dame with a Double Major in Economics and Psychology.
