Chiara Brandstaetter serves as Attorney Coordinator of the Florida Community Development Legal Project and is an Attorney in the Affordable Housing and Community Development practice group at Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc.


Chiara represents non-profit organizations active in the preservation and development of affordable housing and other community development facilities. Her scope of representation includes a variety of services such as counseling and negotiating business transactions, drafting transactional documents related to the nonprofits’ business ventures, structuring and closing real estate transactions, nonprofit governance matters, real estate litigation, and appearing before administrative hearing boards.


Chiara is a 2017 graduate of the Community Scholars in Affordable Housing Program, a collaborative program sponsored by the University of Miami, Catalyst Miami, and South Florida Community Development Coalition. She is a member of the Florida Bar and the South Florida Community Development Coalition.


Chiara graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Barry University. She graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law (“FIU”). Chiara began her practice of law as a Social Justice Fellow with FIU and worked as a Program Attorney with NeighborhoodHELP, a Miami based medical-legal partnership, where she assisted low income residents of Miami with a full range of legal services including healthcare access, consumer issues, public benefits, estate planning, and housing.


Chiara was born in Munich, Germany, and moved to Miami in 2000. Chiara enjoys playing golf and puppies. She really loves puppies.
