WHO WE ARE

Welcome to the Florida Community Development Legal (FCDL) Project website. FCDL is a collaborative project between Bay Area Legal Services, Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc, and Legal Services of North Florida. The FCDL Project is a regional collaboration focused on the representation of non-profit organizations and small businesses from Tallahassee/Gainseville down to the Keys.

Two main areas of focus include representation of non-profit developers in the affordable housing industry and small immigrant and minority owned businesses and non-profit organizations and community groups engaged in economic development activities.

The FCDL Project attorneys have collective knowledge in affordable, sustainable housing and its related components — community and economic development, and preservation of home ownership.

FCDL through its Project Providers, Bay Area Legal Services, Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Legal Services of Greater Miami, Inc, and Legal Services of North Florida, are excited to provide innovative affordable housing project and small business solutions to their clients that help create sustainable communities offering decent, safe, affordable housing and access to greater economic opportunities in at-risk communities for low-moderate income Floridians.
